Evidence Post 2020

As much as they would like to, the mods do not know every single canon out there. We trust that participants are nominating characters in good faith, but we'll still do a quick search on characters we're unfamiliar with to make sure the tags going through are correct. If you think that's a recipe for confusion (say, you nominated a character who shares a name with a popular human character in the same fandom, but you meant her android simulacrum incarnation from that one spinoff audio drama), drop a comment here to let the mods know in advance!

Hi, I nominated the Iterated Prisoner's Dilemma Strategies tag yourself meme. Not sure if it will show up in a search, so for reference this is the canon (https://imgur.com/q6p8dWg), and the nominated characters are math algorithms used in the Iterated Prisoner's Dilemma (a classic game theory problem).

Hope this helps and thank you!

hi, I nominated Zenith from the NeoScum podcast -- he is a character who was originally human, but now has multiple cybernetic parts (most notably a camera drone for an eye) due to childhood body modification. I wanted to make sure to address that before someone says something -- I understand if he's not a cyborg enough to count, but I wanted to make an argument! (Some of the other things I could say to argue for his inclusion are spoilery, so I'm not sure if that should go here or elsewhere.)

I nominated Giant Robo, and I was using this web page for the names of the mech in my nominations. Not all of the mechs have canon names, so I tried my best to give them each a unique description. Links to other character bios are linked below on the page. ♥

Hi! I nominated Javik/Male Awakened Collector Adept under Mass Effect Trilogy. Awakened Collector Adept is a class from the multiplayer. I figured I'd preface that nom, since Collectors do tend to look like "normal" aliens at first glance.

(There'll be some spoilers for the Mass Effect series beyond here!)

From the Wiki about the Collectors:
"Their DNA showed signs of "extensive genetic rewrite" including three fewer chromosomes, reduced heterochromatin structure, and the elimination of superfluous "junk" sequences. While studying Collector data in the lab aboard the Normandy SR-2, Mordin Solus determines that the Reapers indoctrinated the Protheans and compensated for their growing lack of ability due to prolonged indoctrination through cybernetic modifications. The modifications are beyond any form of repair, each Collector drone being little more than a clone—it's unknown if they even still possess any form of gender—riddled with cybernetics, lacking glands or digestive system, and having any form of intelligence or self-awareness completely eradicated by indoctrination."

Just wanted to explain about a group nom I've just put in: "Jessika Pava & Black Squadron astromech droids" under Star Wars (Marvel Comics).

Jess develops a reputation among the droids who sit in the back of Black Squadron's fighters as "the Great Destroyer" because the droids who staff her X-wing repeatedly don't make it back from missions, and I was hoping to request something around this. I don't know if it's too broad a group, though - most of the droids aren't particularly differentiated in the comics. If you decide this isn't OK, I'll probably swap to "Jessika Pava & BB-8" as it's BB who talks the others round.

SA meant to mention that the specific branch of Marvel SW this comes from is the Poe Dameron comics, which covers the lead up to Ep VII from the POV of Poe's squadron and then moves on to show what they were up to during Ep VIII.
