Evidence Post 2021
As much as we would like to, the mods do not know every single robotic canon out there. We trust that participants are nominating characters in good faith, but we'll still do a quick search on characters we're unfamiliar with to make sure the tags going through are correct. If you think that's a recipe for confusion (say you nominated a character who is identified by the internet-available canon synopsis as a human scientist, but you meant the final incarnation of the character whose mind fused with her spaceship's AI over the course of the story), drop a comment here to let the mods know in advance!
Izu and New Izu, Kamen Rider Zero-One
Izu in fact communicates with Nizu at a later date, however, further accentuating their separate nature

Crying Suns is a roguelike computer game. Kaliban is a robot NPC who gives the player character unhelpful advice. The general term for the advanced AIs in this world are "OMNI"s, and I would also be interested in original OMNI characters, hence the linked query.

David Sarif does have a CASIE Aug outside of his cybernetic arms, which is cybernetic cerebal implants. If Black Lightning can be approved from last year, I don't see why Sarif can't be.

and Bob Page has Nanonites technology.

You can see it on his face too.
Also, I fixed my DBH tag.
Thank you! I hope this clears things up :)

"Augmented" humans have historically been considered borderline cases as far as eligibility for this exchange. For such characters we want to err on the side of permissiveness as long as their eligibility as a robotic character can be supported in some way by canonical themes, which is why such characters have generally been approved in the past as long as the nominator is able to provide clarification! :)
Here are some examples of compelling/clarifying evidence that has been provided in the past regarding the eligibility of augmented human characters:
Based off the above examples, would you be able to provide a bit more clarifying information about the CASIE Aug and Nanonites technology and how they relate to the characters in canon? Thanks again!

(Anonymous) 2021-04-17 01:51 am (UTC)(link)-Bob Page is a character that can hook himself up to a machine called HELIOS where he can control it and take over the web servers and other technological enhancements. It's part of his nanonite technology in the link. He wants to become one with the machine and make HELIOS do what it tells him. This is what the "disembodied existence" I guess you want to call it that.
-Yes, that was Adam Jensen's main part. There are other characters like him too. Viktor Marchenko and Talos Rucka is another prime example of full cyborg and machine. Most people just select Adam Jensen because he's the main character. Page literally plugs himself up with nano technology embedded in his system.
-When hooked up to the machine world one technically can become immortal.
Deus Ex is a game that revolves around augmented humans and cyberpunk theme. That's what this game franchise pretty much is. I also point out that Adam Jensen also had CASIE augmentations.

Bob Page:

Also CASIE Aug: https://deusex.fandom.com/wiki/Social_Enhancer_(DXHR)
This tells you everything you need to know.
The CASIE (Computer Assisted Social Interaction Enhancer) is one of the many augmentations available in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It serves to make most conversations a bit easier, and adds a bit of replay value to the game thanks to its unique dialogue options.
Let me know if you need anything else. I'm not the best at explaining things. Maybe I can get my friend to help me here.

A human character with robotic limbs would not generally be considered eligible on the basis of this alone which is part of why we were looking for clarification regarding David Sarif. Given the additional information you provided about the themes of the canon, the character, and his augmentations, David Sarif would be considered eligible so we will approve this character as well.
We appreciate the additional information!

David Sarif Nomination
(Anonymous) 2021-04-17 02:17 am (UTC)(link)I'm the Anonymous' friend.
For David Sarif, he has lost one of his arms in an incident before the start of the game and it is shown that he lost the other one after the Panchaea Incident. So both of his arms are augmented.
It is stated that he has CASIE social enhancer, a technology that his company has developed.
He even has an EMP shield aug. In gameplay, he isn't affected by an EMP grenade, despite the fact that this would usually trigger some reactions from NPCs.
All these information can be seen on: https://deusex.fandom.com/wiki/David_Sarif

Similarly, you might or might not find that Luna, in Zero Escape, is an android- though that canon is more popular so it'd be easier to find at least
